Class Etiquette

Be prompt for class!! Arrive a few minutes before the class is scheduled to start.
Warm up prior to class.
Bow upon entering and leaving the gym (in the doorway-facing the room).
Bow to the black belts as they enter and leave the gym.
Be respectful of others, especially seniors (in rank and age).
When lining up rank starts at the right.
If your belt comes loose or you need to adjust your uniform, turn to the back of the class (by placing your right foot behind your left and turning to the right).
Do not walk through the lines, walk to the end of your row, bow and quickly join your position.(never walk in front of row)
There should be no unnecessary noise/talking.
If late line up in the back and take your appropriate position after the water break.
Never ask to learn advanced techniques or the next pattern. The instructor will teach you what you are qualified to learn at your level. It is disrespectful to ask for additional training when you may not yet have perfected what you are presently working on.
If it should be necessary for you to leave before the class is over, you must get permission from the head instructor, unless you received permission prior to the class.
No jewelry should be worn during class for safety sake.
No gum chewing.
